Weed Control Diver
This course is designed in collaboration with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) and NAUI to develop the knowledge and skills needed to help combat variable milfoil in New Hampshire. You will learn about and earn a NAUI Certification* approved by NHDES in weed control methods and how to identify, document and safely and effectively hand harvest and dispose of these, and possibly other insidious weeds.
*(A digital certification card is included at no additional charge. A Plastic Certification Card is available as an optional "Add On" when you purchase the course. You may delete it from your cart if you do not want one)

Weed Control Diver
We are the only Dive Shop designated by the State of NH to certify Divers and Tenders to remove Eurasian Milfoil in Lakes and Waterways
Prerequisites For Divers
- Open Water Scuba Certification
- 15 years of age or older
- Proof of 10 or more logged dives in low to zero visibility
- Prepared to demonstrate good buoyancy control and comfort in low visibility
- SSI medical form
Training Requirements
- Classroom Workshop at Aquatic Specialties
- Open Water Dive - Maximum 6 divers/session. No limit on Tenders. Field experience is also highly recommended for Tenders
- Mask, fin, hood, gloves, BC, regulator, wetsuit, catch bag (rentals available – not included)
Cost:
$150 per diver
$50 for Non-Diving Volunteers or Tenders providing boat/surface support.
