JAMESTOWN, RHODE ISLAND | September 5th-7th, 2025
Come camping at Fort Getty and dive at Fort Wetherill with Aquatic Specialties!
Fort Getty is located in Jamestown, Rhode Island, and was a military fort from 1900 through World War II before it was opened up as a park and campground for the public. Just around the corner is Fort Wetherill, which dates back to the early 18th century and was decomissioned in 1946 following World War II. This location offers something for beginner and advanced divers as two of the dive locations are in protected coves, and the third dive site follows a sharp wall, rich with life, that drops to depths close to 100ft! You can expect to see native lobsters, blue crabs, and squids as well as tropical fish that get caught in the Gulf Stream in the Fall!

Aquatic Specialties will be camping at Fort Getty and diving at Fort Wetherill from September 5th-7th. Divers are responsible for reserving and paying for their own accommodations, food, and transportation. We are driving down to Rhode Island and we will be staying at the upper tent sites at Fort Getty Campground if you would like to join us!
You can visit their website to get more details on the campground rates.
To reserve your campsite, click here. Tent reservations are $35/night. You can have up to 2 tents and 2 cars per site (up to 6 people/site).
*We recommend you reserve your campsite as soon as possible because spots are limited, and this is a popular place for people to visit! Divers will need to be night and deep dive certified for some of the dives.
