Ready to dive into your underwater journey? The next step is to get certified as an Open Water diver!

Open Water Diver (Ages 16+): This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Three classroom training sessions are combined with three practical sessions in our indoor heated pool to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will then be ready to complete 4 Open Water Dives after which you will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification!

Junior Open Water Diver (10-15)*: If you’re confident your child loves scuba diving, the next step is to sign them up for our Junior Open Water Course. This program is designed for young scuba enthusists and Ocean lovers from ages 10-15. Scuba diving is an incredible hobby to get your child (and yourself!) involved in. Diving allows your family to explore everything the underwater world has to offer! When they turn 15 years old if they have been diving continuously (no more than a 6-month break), they can come into the shop and we will upgrade their certification to Open Water. If they have not been diving in the past year, they are required to take a Scuba Skills Update to review skills and demonstrate proficiency.

*Please Note: 10 and 11-year-olds are only certified to dive to a maximum of 40 feet, and all Junior Open Water Divers must dive under the direct supervision of a certified dive professional or a certified adult in environments equivalent to their training and within the recommended depth limits.

Students who purchase the Try Scuba course through Aquatic Specialties will be eligible for $100 off of their Open Water certification upon signup within six months of completing the Try Scuba class.**

**Some restrictions apply. Students that do not sign up directly with Aquatic Specialties will not be eligible for the discount. Any signups outside of the six month period will have to pay full price for our Open Water certification.
